HOW I USED THIS SYSTEM TO GET HEALTHY
I’m Jennifer Houghton and besides being a yoga and fitness instructor, I’m a lover of food. I use The Yoga of Eating to feel strong, vital, and full of energy, and most of all satiated. It makes me feel happier and healthier at age 48 than I did at 38.
I used to eat to be thin. I counted calories and tried diets. I measured my butt and thighs regularly and stepped on the scale daily. As a result, I ended up eating junk because all that mattered was how many calories per day I ate. I was tired, moody, pimply, had low energy, craved sugar all the time, had trouble falling asleep, and my digestion was in bad shape.
Through the study of yoga, I discovered there is a different approach to food. I developed a system to incorporate these enlightened concepts about eating into a modern lifestyle. I’ve blended the ancient tried-and-true yogic wisdom with the whole-foods-plant-based approach to create healthy eating habits that are easy to maintain. I’ve optimized the ideas and concepts from both practices to create a program that makes me feel vital, whole, and fantastic!
I’ve given up the quest for being thin. Instead I eat to feel good from the inside out.
I feel great, have lots of energy, crave vegetables, am no longer moody, sleep better, and my digestion rocks!
