The gentle easy movements of this practice will soothe the digestion. Its a good one to do before a heavy meal or a few hours after. Perfect for Christmas or Thanksgiving. This practice is also beneficial to do on a regular basis especially if you tend towards gassiness, bloating, IBS, food intolerances, constipation, or indigestion. It will help create movement in the digestive tract – stagnation is not healthy for your gut.
The deep breathing at the end of this practice massages and improves the health of the abdomen and digestive organs.
Modifications are shown for those who can’t tolerate pressure on the knees (do the standing lunge instead).
